Curated by Adj. Prof. Margo Ngawa Neale, this exhibition offers an immersive journey into the vibrant realm of Australian Aboriginal art. It highlights a contemporary movement dedicated to preserving the deep cultural wisdom and profound significance of the land, known as Country, across successive generations. With a carefully selected collection of around 120 artworks, which include paintings, lithographs, serigraphs, etchings, and sculptures, the exhibition invites audiences to explore the profound connection and reverence for the land within Aboriginal communities. These artworks, rich with layered meanings and symbolism, bear witness to a heritage that has thrived in Australia for over 60,000 years. Dreaming the Land<\/em> celebrates the enduring resilience and interconnectedness of Australian Aboriginal peoples and their traditions, conveyed through the powerful medium of art. It provides a glimpse into these mysterious narratives, presented through works that transcend mere aesthetics, fulfilling the crucial role of passing down culture to younger generations, ensuring its ongoing vibrancy and survival.<\/p>\n
