Die Ausstellung zeigt die im Geiste der „neuen Fotografie“ entstandenen, kraftvollen Schwarzwei\u00df-Aufnahmen aus der fr\u00fchen Schaffensperiode sowie die packenden Reportage-Aufnahmen aus den Lebensjahren, die Ferenc Berko als Kameramann und Filmregisseur in Indien verbrachte. Ein wesentlicher Teil der Ausstellung sind die abstrakten Farbaufnahmen, die Berko in den Jahren schuf, als er Dozent f\u00fcr Fotografie an dem von Moholy-Nagy geleiteten neuen „Bauhaus“ in Chicago war. Diese Fotos weisen ihn als einen Pionier der k\u00fcnstlerischen Farbfotografie aus. Motive, die er auf seinen vielen Reisen entdeckte, runden die Ausstellung ab. Sie belegen die Aussage von Helmut Gernsheim: „Shape, Form and Color are Berko’s Forte“.<\/p>\n
