Nach der erfolgreichen Retrospektive Duane Hanson – More than Reality<\/a> organisierte das Institut f\u00fcr Kulturaustausch die Ausstellung Duane Hanson – Sculptures of the American Dream. Hierbei wurde Wert auf eine sorgf\u00e4ltige, spannungsreiche und umfassende Werkauswahl gelegt. Es waren sowohl einige von Hansons fr\u00fcheren kritischen Skulpturen als auch seine t\u00e4uschend lebensechten Figuren zu sehen. Schwerpunkt der Schau waren die Akteure des American Dreams, allerdings nicht die Stars, sondern diejenigen, die auf ewig die Nebenrollen spielen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus beinhaltete die Ausstellung einige Polaroids, die Hanson w\u00e4hrend seiner Arbeit mit Modellen anfertigte. Zum ersten Mal \u00fcberhaupt wurde eine Serie von Skulpturstudien und Skulpturfragmenten aus dem privaten Fundus des K\u00fcnstlers, u.a. eine Selbstportraitb\u00fcste, gezeigt.<\/p>\n
